One of the best things in life is a cheeseburger, this one has organic lettuce and tomato.
The flavor of sharp cheddar cheese is delightful. This hamburger has all the basic ingredients for greatness and nothing fancy. The key to making it really flavorful is picking the right ingredients. Give the organic thing a try to see if it makes a taste difference for you.
Start with organic everything, particularly the beef it makes all the difference in the world in terms of flavor. Beef has different flavors depending on where the cow is raised and what it is fed. Organic grass fed meat is really darn tasty. So start with that.
Add in the aged cheddar cheese and melt it on top of the burger while cooking it until it melts and starts to brown in the pan.
Picking a fresh bun makes a big difference. If you have a local baker head over there and pick up some fresh buns for this burger.
Then add in all the right condiments; ketchup, mayonnaise and Dijon mustard.
Lastly, add organic tomato and onion slices. The choice of the quality of the ingredients really makes a difference. We get a weekly organic veggie and fruit basket from our local co-op which we love.
Give this a try, let me know how it turns out. Below is a full recipe and instructions, plus a short burger making video to let you see how it’s done.
If you make this recipe let me know how it goes. I hope you can taste the flavor difference in the veggies, meat and bread.
